This smallest citadel in Estonia is located several kilometres east from Tallinn. It was built by a Teutonic Knights in the beginning of 16th century, and a word “citadel” may be a little to much to describe it.

Kiiu Tower is stone, round building, with wooden gallery in the middle of height. Hovever, it might gave a shelter to some group of people. As it is one of only two remaining tower stronghold in Estonia, it is worth a short stop. Nowadays, the café is located inside.
